Learn how to transform someone to THE JOKER!

Step 1 Open up a new image of a random person.
I'm not gonna do Heath Ledger since I don't like him. Instead I chose one hell of an actor, Jack Nicholson!

Step 2 Anyhow, what we need to do is make sure we got a good photo of someone. Perferably someone that is already smiling;

Step 3 Select roughly the skin of the person and go to the levels by pressing CTRL+L and make sure you get the skin very light;

Step 4 Make a new layer and on that new layer, brush white over the skin-area. After that, set the blending-mode to Saturation;

Step 5 Erase the white parts where the eyes are;

Step 6 Use the Liquify-filter to move the edges of the mouth to the side and a little bit upwards;

Step 7 On a new layer brush some red and orange over the eyes and set the blending-mode to overlay;

Step 8 With a green brush, brush some green on the hair and set the blending-mode to Color or Overlay;

Step 9 Then use the Pen-Tool to draw a shape around the lips and fill that with red. Then lower the opacity a little;

Step 10 And there you have it.. Gotham's most feared criminal returns!

Hey there.! First of all, I want to say thank you for the tutorials. They are great! Second I would like to know if you could please, add more information about "Step 9", like what settings we should use. For some reason when I add color to the lips, the color doesn't look natural.

I should of looked at the comments before I tried this.. But I can confirm, the levels (Ctrl+L) turn the skin Black&White; instead of white :\

when i turn the mode to saturation it turns grey instead of white....why?

I got a problem; when I turn the white layer to saturation, the face turns grey instead of white.. (plz mail me with a solution, thanks! ^^)

Hey Jl, have you tried setting the blending-mode to "Multiply" or "Overlay" ?
Or maybe duplicate the layer and set one to overlay and the other to multiply.
As you may have gathered, this tutorial has still not had his update. When it will, I will include a more detailed explanation.
Until that time, did the advice I gave work or do you need some more help?
