Warranty sucks!

I don't know if it's me, it's a mysterious conspiracy or just a coincidence, but why do expensive things with a warranty always break AFTER the warranty expires?

I hear you thinking "Oh, but if an object has a warranty of 1 year and it doesn't break untill after 7 years, isn't that the same?" Yeah, but not what I mean.

I'm talking about RIGHT after the warranty.

Yesterday I was cleaning my room and I accidently bumped into the hanger my headphones were hanging from. They fell down 50cm and *shattered* in front of my eyes. It's af if for a moment the headphones were made of glass. After all those weeks or wearing it, knowing how sturdy and firm the plasic and metal can be, it just amazes me how something that strong can break.

Either way, they were 90 euros down the bin, because a week ago the warranty expired, and sure... some would say "GO BACK AND ASK YOUR MONEY MAN!", but I tried that before at the same store and they only replied "Well, no.. that's why we have a warranty-term." And they're right.

But it still sucks, because now I have to listen to my standard iPod-earplugs, which, quite frankly ruin the entire music after being blessed with amazing studio-headphones.

I still need a new headphone though... but I have no idea what to choose..

Maybe one of these...

My lead-artist at work would LOVE these :P

These would be cool.. only I'd have to be a bald 40-year old man...

The angel is music wears this one :O

This matches perfect with my bitches and ho's.

But in all seriousness, I really hope the headphones I will buy now are gonna be good and not break down EXACTLY 1 week after the warranty expires. If they do I am gonna have to go with the conpsiracy theory.

On a positive note, 3 weeks untill Brutal Legend!

Haha thanks for the advice Bill!
I went to the local MediaMarkt (which is this MASSIVE media store) and they had an aisle with all these headphones to try out.

I also tried out that Skullcandy you advised me, but it could be that my head was too big, but it didn't fit me the way I liked it to fit.
I tried on various headphones and decided I wanted something that could cover my ears, make the audio perfect for Rock and classical music as well AND cut off every environmental sound, because I hate it when you're in the tram listening to music while someone talks to their friend about how stupid their weekend was, and I cannot hear my music.

This is the one I found that worked amazing. The store only had the yellow-ish white and the MANLY pink version. I ordered the black version online and it not shown up yet at my house :<

Still waiting....

Hah, Bill you sound like a salesperson for SkullCandy. But i have to agree they are a good headphone. And a brand that i would recomend. Though i've noticed they're becoming more of a fassion item than just headphones lately.
Hope you find a good pair of headphones mick, the standard ipod ones really are a bit rubbish..

I use SkullCandy. Full-rich, exceptional sound. Also the same kind that is used on such hit shows as GhostHunters when superior sound quality is required for listening to EVPs.
