Mick Unleashed

So far the project is going.. well I have no idea. Without any briefing from the client we cannot really start working. Kinda bums me out because I'd love to get started and see how the project will turn out. A teammate said that if I wanted to learn 3d, we could try to persuade the client of choosing 3d, but the sad thing is, that it's not gonna happen because the client wishes it to be in flash. Obviously pre-rendered is possible, but what good is quality-loss for that? I can't complain about mu group, but I'm not paying…

Watch me!

A bit "bleh" is how to describe this all. I just don't know... End of the summer, well not really summer since we spend a total of 5 days in the sun. The other days it was either too hot to function or rainy. And when I think of summer, I think of a few things. But mostly icecream, outside, sun and bbq's. And eating icecream inside with rain is like eating no icecream at all. It's crap. Perhaps it's also because I didn't go on holiday this year. It could be yeah... Many people said I should have done…

There are lots of things that make a game great and memorable. Things like iconic graphics, epic storylines, funny memories or just nasty parts you keep repeating because it's so damn hard. In my experience, music has always played a very important part in the experience pf games. And I've got to say, this game has the most epic and fantastic score in the whole world of gaming. True, it may be outdated when you look at it now, but it's still a keeper. Little Big Adventure 2, or simply LBA2, puts you in the role of Twinsen for the…

Blast from the Past 1: Grim Fandango
by MickM | 30-08-2008 | News 619 views
Back in the days when LucasArts made the best games, there was one game that stood amongst the adventure-games and made history. Thanks to the genius mind of Tim Schafer, Grim Fandango was simply brilliant. Aaah... the 90's. The years of the adventures. Really, adventures were the big thing. After Sam & Max, Monkey Island and Day of the Tentacle (all by LucasArts), gamers were getting sucked into the whole adventure-genre like a black hole. Me too. I used to play games like Tomb Raider and Warcraft 2 when this baby came out. And I was amazed. I've always been…
